Collect the paddle raise at the table, while the room is still giving.
After the ask, the pledges on the paddles need collecting. With eventCNX a volunteer walks to the table, taps the giving level, and the guest pays on their own phone with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card. The money goes straight to your organization’s Stripe account, and the 50/50 counts itself.
The ask, the pot and the side games.
Giving levels from $50 to $1,000. Any other amount is a donation up to $10,000; the volunteer confirms anything over $500.
Per ticket, bundles or arm’s length. Volunteers hand over paper tickets and the screen says how many.
The cocktail-hour games, each counted on its own line in your totals.
Watch the 50/50 fill in as tickets sell, then lock it right before the drawing. The winner’s half is already worked out.
- Week before
Start from the gala template. Add the 50/50.
Change any level or price, add the 50/50 from the common items in one tap, add your logo and set a volunteer PIN. Run a practice with pretend payments.
- Cocktail hour
Volunteers sell 50/50 and raffle tickets on the floor.
No app and no account. Every volunteer with the PIN is a checkout, so nobody has to find the ticket table.
- The ask
Collect at the table, right after the paddles go up.
Volunteers go to each raised paddle and take the gift on the spot, before the moment passes.
- Drawing and close
Lock the 50/50, draw, close the night.
Locking cancels payments still waiting, so the pot can’t change after the drawing. Closing signs every volunteer out, and your totals and CSV are ready.
Plan for the ask and the drawing.

Questions gala committees ask
Do guests need to download anything?
No. They scan the volunteer’s QR with their phone camera and pay on Stripe’s checkout page.
Can a guest give more than the listed levels?
Yes. The volunteer enters any amount up to $10,000 as a donation, and confirms it before anything over $500.
Is a 50/50 allowed?
Raffle rules vary by state. Check yours. eventCNX handles the payments and the count.
Whose name is on the guest’s receipt?
Your organization’s, as set in your Stripe account. Guests get Stripe’s standard receipt if they enter an email; send tax receipts as you do now.
Your guests have their phones at the table.
