One night, start to finish.
For the event chair who sets it up and the volunteers who sell. Nobody installs anything, and every guest can pay at every table.

Before the night
Set it up in an evening. Practice it with your volunteers.
Sign up, connect your organization’s Stripe account, and start from a template. Change any product or price, add your logo, and set a 6-digit volunteer PIN.

Doors open
Volunteers open a link, type the PIN and their first name.
No app to download and no account to make. A volunteer who joins late does the same thing in ten seconds. If two phones use the same name, they’re asked whether it’s the same person.

A sale
Tap, scan, paid. The screen says what to hand over.
The volunteer taps what’s being sold; the price comes from your setup. The guest scans the QR with their phone camera and pays with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card on Stripe’s checkout page.

During the night
You run the floor from the admin screen.
- Start and close sideboard rounds. Each round can have its own price, $5 early and $50 late; volunteers can only sell the one running.
- Watch the 50/50 and round pots fill in live, with the winner’s half already worked out.
- Close the 50/50 right before the drawing. Payments still waiting are cancelled, and the pot is locked.
- If a volunteer cancels a sale the guest had already paid, their screen says “This one went through”, and the sale counts.
-
After
Close the event. The count is already done.
Closing stops new sales and signs every volunteer out. Your totals by product and volunteer are ready, with a CSV of every sale. The money is already in your Stripe account.
Phones. That’s the list.
Volunteers
- A phone with Wi-Fi or cell data
- The event link and the PIN
- Their first name
- No login to your Stripe account
Guests
- A phone with a camera
- A card or a phone wallet
- No app, no account
Your organization
- A Stripe account in its name (eventCNX works with Stripe only)
- An event pass when you open the night
- One person to run the admin screen
The everyday tables work the same way.
Bake sale
- Price each item, and the volunteer sets how many: six cookies is one payment
- For a mixed plate, the volunteer adds it up and enters the total
- Card fees take a bigger share of a $1 sale, so sell by the plate or the bag when you can
Merch
- Make each size an option, so your totals show how many of each size sold
- Up to 50 of the same item in one payment
- eventCNX doesn’t track your stock, so keep an eye on the table
Donations
- Every template includes a donation: the volunteer enters the amount the guest picks, from $1 to $10,000
- Guests get Stripe’s receipt if they enter an email
- Send tax receipts the way you do now
On the course, plan for signal and sun.
Signal
- Courses rarely have Wi-Fi past the clubhouse, so phones use cell data
- Do your practice run on the course, at the holes where volunteers will stand
Sun
- Screens wash out outdoors, so turn phone brightness up
- The Daylight theme is the easiest to read outside
What to sell
- The golf template starts with mulligans, longest drive, closest to the pin, beat the pro, a raffle and a 50/50
- Add your own, like a beverage cart or day-of entries
- Foursomes and hole sponsors sold ahead of the day stay where you sell them now
Try the whole night before it happens.
Set up your event and run a practice night with your volunteers: real screens, pretend payments. Pay when you open it to guests.
