What eventCNX collects, and what it doesn’t
Effective October 28, 2026
eventCNX is made by sthreelabs LLC, an Ohio limited liability company (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information eventCNX handles for organizations, their volunteers and their guests, and what we do with it.
The short version
- Guests pay on Stripe’s checkout page. eventCNX never sees or stores card numbers, and it doesn’t collect guests’ names or email addresses.
- We keep what an organization needs to run its events and count its sales.
- We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
What we collect
Organizations and admins. The organization’s name, web address and state; admin email addresses; the logo and sponsor content you upload; and the email used to buy a pass.
Volunteers. The name a volunteer enters when signing in at an event, and the sales they take. Names are shown to that organization’s admins with the sales.
Sales. For each sale: what was sold, the price, the time, the volunteer, and Stripe’s payment reference. Guests’ card details, names, email addresses and billing details are collected by Stripe on its checkout page under Stripe’s privacy policy, and stay in the organization’s Stripe account.
Messages. When you use the contact form, your name, email, organization and message are emailed to us. The form doesn’t store them.
Technical information. IP addresses and browser details in our server logs, and IP addresses in short-lived records used to slow down repeated sign-in, sign-up and contact attempts. We use one cookie, to keep you signed in. We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies.
How we use it
- To run eventCNX: sign people in, take and count sales, show totals and exports to the organization.
- To send sign-in links, sign-up confirmations, renewal reminders and account notices.
- To answer support and contact messages.
- To keep eventCNX secure and stop abuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that run eventCNX for us, and only what each needs:
- Stripe, for payments and connecting organizations’ Stripe accounts.
- Postmark, to send email.
- Cloudflare, for network delivery and security.
- Hostinger, where our servers run.
An organization’s admins see their own organization’s volunteers and sales. eventCNX support may open an organization’s admin when asked for help; each visit is recorded and shown to that organization’s admins. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect people’s safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, under this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep an organization’s records while its account is open, so it has its sales history for its own books. When an organization asks us to close its account, we delete its data, except what we must keep for legal or accounting reasons. Backups are kept for 14 days. Server logs and the records used to slow down repeated attempts are kept only for a limited time.
Security
eventCNX is served only over HTTPS. Admins sign in with single-use links instead of passwords. Event PINs are stored hashed and encrypted, and each organization can see only its own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what we hold.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you through the contact form. If you’re a volunteer or a guest, your organization controls its event records. We’ll work with it on your request. For payment details, contact the organization or Stripe.
Children
eventCNX is for organizations and their adult volunteers. It isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
Where we operate
eventCNX is offered in the United States and stores its data there. It isn’t available to organizations in California.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We’ll post the new version here with its effective date, and for significant changes we’ll email organization admins first.
