Run a practice night

The real volunteer screens with pretend payments. No pass or Stripe needed.

A practice run uses the real volunteer screens, but every payment is pretend: the QR opens a practice page with a Pay (practice) button instead of Stripe. It needs products and a PIN, but no pass and no Stripe.

Start one

  1. Open the event’s Event and PIN tab and press Start a practice run.
  2. Give your volunteers the PIN and the web address, or the volunteer sheet.
  3. Have them sign in, make sales, try the 50/50 and a sideboard round. Your Tonight tab fills in as they go.

Good to know

  • A practice run ends after 3 hours or 100 sales.
  • Practice sales are marked pretend everywhere and never mix with real ones.
  • When you open the event for real, practice sales are cleared and the 50/50 and rounds start fresh.
  • Do the practice where the event will be, so you know the venue’s Wi-Fi or cell signal holds.
